攀枝花，中国唯一以花命名的城市，位于川西南滇西北交界处，辖三区两县，面积7440平方公里，人口123万，是中国西部重要的钢铁、钒钛、能源基地，工业化率72.03%、城镇化率63.01%，分列四川第一和第二位。人均GDP连续多年居四川首位，2012年达60391元。
